Marion Smyth

AFOM Military Social Work Advisor

Marion Smyth commenced her adult career after graduating as a Registered Nurse in Queensland in 1980. After specialising in Intensive Care Nursing for a number of years and working in various interstate hospitals

Marion commenced post-graduate studies in mental health nursing and graduated as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1984 . Marion began studies at Deakin University and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts (Psycholgy).

When nursing education switched to the tertiary sector Marion worked as a clinical supervisor for nursing students at Newcastle College of Advanced Education and later became a senior tutor in nursing at Hunter Institute of Technology.
